New Members' Coaching Course I
Date: Thursday, 17 April 2008 to Thursday, 22 May 2008
Time: 7pm - 9pm
Our first New Members' Coaching Course this year. Get six 2-hour lessons and eight weeks membership for just £40. The temporary membership allows you to come and play at any of our club sessions. We have sessions on Mondays (from 6pm), Tuesdays (from 6pm), Wednesdays (from 6pm), Fridays (from 10am), Saturdays (from 2pm) and Sundays (from 10am)! Or arrange a game with another member and come and play anytime! The lessons, taken by our superb, experienced coach Adrian, are on a Thursday from 7pm-9pm. They start on Thursday 17 April. Come and learn the basics or get a refresher course in the game.

Doubles Tactics Course
Date: Saturday, 03 May 2008 to Saturday, 17 May 2008
Time: 12.30pm - 2pm
This is a three week course where Adrian will go through the tactics of doubles. This course would be good as a starting point or as a reminder and good for most standards up to team player, but please note that this course is NOT to provide any technical coaching with regards to your shots.
The course is for members only and will cost £25, please give all payment to Adrian at the first lesson. The course starts on Saturday 3 May at 12.30pm.
There is a limit of 8 people for this course and it is ESSENTIAL that you sign up to guarantee a place on the course.

Ladies' I Away Match

The Mighty Ladies I take on their first match after their 100% record in their Winter campaign and they are feeling pretty confident! Despite losing Club champ Hiroko, the ladies feel strong with new recruit Andry who is ready to be let off the leash onto local opponents Cheam Sports. Cheam Sports were one of the victims of the Ladies' Winter Campaign and could well be looking for some sweet revenge but rest assured with the, what has become unstoppable force of Heather and Kirsty, and what will surely become the highly competitive, whatever-happens-we-will-not-lose pairing of Jenny and Andry, the ladies are ready to go! Doesn`t it just make you want to say "Damn! We are good!!"

Sutton Churches on Tour
Date: Saturday, 24 May 2008 to Monday, 26 May 2008
Once again Sutton Churches Tennis Club will be going on tour during the coming Spring Bank Holiday weekend (24-26th May). This time the location is the Chilterns, we will again be staying in B&Bs, play a couple of fixtures at local clubs, enjoy ourselves in the area and generally have fun.
We will be approaching tennis clubs in that area to see if any of them would be willing to play us. The sort of tennis we will try to arrange will depend very much on who and how many are coming. This tour is open to any of you who are interested; by no means is this just for those who currently play team tennis. Please note that there's no guarantee that we`ll actually be able to play any tennis as it depends on the willingness of the clubs we contact. However, we will do our absolute best to arrange matches or mix-in sessions. Last year we played two clubs which was lots of fun and the standard varied wildly!
Like any proper tour of this sort we will be getting individualized tour shirts printed up for everyone as well. The cost of the tour depends on how many people come and what accommodation we can get but last year the cost was £74 each (for the shirts and accommodation) and we would hope that it would be around that this year.
If you want to come on the tour you need to decide asap as we need to book the accommodation. We need to know how many want to come by FRIDAY 1st FEBRUARY so please sign up online or at the club asap.
